LAST TIME OUT
Utah Tech fell to Seattle U 2-1 on Sunday at Greater Zion Stadium. Through the first half, Utah Tech goalkeeper Brianna Frey recorded six saves to blank the Redhawks after 45 minutes. Seattle U started the scoring in the 59th minute. Senior Kait Raffensperger headed the ball into the net from senior Jourdyn Curran's corner kick to give the Redhawks a 1-0 lead. In the 79th minute, sophomore Kailee Wilson scored on a cross-box shot into the upper right corner of the goal to give Seattle U a 2-0 advantage. Freshman Kyla Schuster assisted the goal. To avoid the shutout, Trailblazer junior Lacy Fox recovered a miss-hit clear, dribbled to the top left of the box and beat the Redhawk goalie on a cannon of a shot to the upper-right corner of the goal. Seattle U outshot UT 20-12 and held a 9-6 lead in shots on goal. The Redhawks committed three more fouls than Utah Tech, 7-4, and received the game's only yellow card. Defensively, Frey finished with seven saves.
