Six Trailblazers scored in double figures as Utah Tech opened its two-game Greek exhibition schedule with a dominant 119-45 victory over Greece's Amilia Peristeriou Basketball Club on Saturday night in Athens.
Freshman
Kastyn Young led a potent Trailblazer offensive attack as she scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting with five 3-pointers in her first game in a Utah Tech uniform.
Sophomore
Amber Kartchner flirted with a triple-double as she tallied 20 points with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. Meanwhile, fifth-year guard
Breaunna Gillen dished out a game-high nine dimes to go with 18 points and four steals.
Freshman
Calyn Dallas chipped in 17 points, while fifth-year forward
Emily Isaacson poured in 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting with three treys, and
Catelyn Deaver tallied 12 points.
Utah Tech shot a blistering 55.5 percent (45-of-81) from the floor with 21 made 3-pointers (21-of-47; .447). The Trailblazers also collected 33 rebounds and 11 steals, and recorded 18 assists on their 45 made field goals.
The Trailblazers, who are midway through the program's first-ever foreign trip, will play their final exhibition game vs. the Athens All-Stars this Monday at 7 p.m. Athens time (10 a.m. MT).
