Utah Tech men's basketball announced its 2022-23 non-conference schedule on Wednesday, which features five home games and road dates at a pair of in-state schools, and two match-ups against 2022 NCAA tournament teams.

The Trailblazers will kick-off the campaign with eight of their first nine games on the road, starting with the season opener at Nevada on Monday, Nov. 7. UT will return home to host CSUN on Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Burns Arena, before heading north to Seattle two nights later for a date at PAC-12 member Washington on Monday, Nov. 14.

That trip to UW will start a seven-game road swing that will include games at PAC-12 power and 2022 NCAA tourney team Arizona (Nov. 17) and at Big Sky member Idaho (Nov. 19).

Utah Tech will then spend Thanksgiving Weekend in North Dakota for an in-season tournament at UND, beginning with a match-up against the host Fighting Hawks on Friday, Nov. 25, before taking on 2022 NCAA tourney team Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The Blazers will wrap up their road odyssey with their first-ever trip to Logan to play at Utah State on Thursday, Dec. 1, followed two nights later with a date at in-state foe Weber State on Saturday, Dec. 3, in Ogden.

Utah Tech will return home for four-straight games prior to the Christmas holiday break, starting with a match-up vs. Chapman University on Friday, Dec. 9. UT will also play host to The Master's (CA) University (Dec. 17), Westmont College (Dec. 19), and first-year NCAA Division-I transition school Lindenwood University on Thursday, Dec. 22.

Utah Tech is still awaiting its finalized 2022-23 Western Athletic Conference schedule, though the Trailblazers do know who they will face in league play this season. UT will play home-and-home series against in-state rivals Southern Utah and Utah Valley, along with Grand Canyon, Seattle U, Tarleton State and UTRGV.

The Trailblazers will also play host to defending WAC champion New Mexico State, Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin, and will play road games at Abilene Christian, California Baptist and conference newcomer UT-Arlington.

Utah Tech (then Dixie State) wrapped up its second season of NCAA Division I play with a 13-18 overall record, five wins more than the Trailblazers' posted in their D-I debut campaign in 2020-21. The Blazers finished with a 10-6 record inside the Burns Arena, and wound up 6-12 in WAC play, which was good for 10th place in the conference standings.
