WSOC announces two new Trailblazers

Dixie State women's soccer head coach Molly Rouse has announced the signing of two new Trailblazers, Kalea Woodyatt and Savannah Stauffer  who will join the Blazers for the fall 2022 season.
 
Woodyatt, a midfielder from Layton, UT will graduate from Farmington High School in spring of 2021. She earned letters in two years and was named captain her senior year. She helped Farmington High to a Region I title and led the team in scoring for back-to-back years. She also earned Academic All-State honors as well as Second Team All-Area honors for two consecutive years. 

"Kalea is an excellent addition to our 2021 class," Rouse said. "She will bring a competitive fire and high-level club experience to the team environment.  We are excited for her to be joining the Trailblazer family!" 

 "I picked Dixie state because I want to be a part of something big," Woodyatt said. "This program is on the biggest uprise transitioning into D1 with a new coaching staff and being a part of that is my goal. I also don't mind the warm weather and awesome environment of Dixie."

Stauffer, a midfielder from Springville, UT will graduate from Springville High School in spring 2021. She was named Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, she earned All-Region Second team her sophomore season. She earned First Team All-Region her junior year. In 2018, she recorded eight goals and 16 assists. The following year she recorded four goals and seven assists. 

"We are excited to wrap up our 2021 class with the addition of Savannah," Rouse said. "She comes from a competitive club background and has persevered through the ups and downs of this recruiting cycle. We are excited for her to bring a competitive spirit and strong attacking flare to the Trailblazer family!" 

"I made the choice to come to Dixie because it is an excellent D1 school with a great soccer program," Stauffer said. "Coming back from a big injury has been challenging and I'm excited to have the opportunity to play at the college level. Playing at Dixie will allow me to play the game I love and continue to become a better player."
