Dixie State swimming posted several solid program marks on the opening day of the 2021 Trailblazer Invitational on Thursday at the DSU HPC Pool.

Though the Trailblazers did not score any team points on day one, they did clock eight top-10 program times. DSU opened the evening session with a 13
th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a 1:36.52, which is the fifth-fastest relay time in DSU history.

In the 500 free, freshman
Paulina Sansores placed third in the D-final with a time of 5:03.69 (#5 all-time at DSU). Meanwhile sophomore
Gabbie Adams posted the fourth-fastest program mark at that distance with a preliminary heat time of 5:03.46, and placed eighth in the B-final at 5:07.91, and sophomore
Akalia Bostock cracked the school's top-10 list with a prelim time of 5:06.66 (seventh in the C-final at 5:07.47).

In the final event of day one, the 400 medley relay, the Blazers combined to post four top-10 program marks. The DSU "A" team clocked the fourth-fastest relay time in program history with a 14
th-place 3:51.75, with Bostock recording the third-fastest 100 back mark at 57.70. In addition, the DSU "B" team finished 21
st at 3:55.72 (#7 all-time at DSU), with Adams recording the program's fourth-fastest 100 back time at 57.80.
Day two of the Trailblazer Invitational will begin at 10 a.m., with several preliminary events, followed by the evening session at 5 p.m. Live streaming video of all Invitational events can be found at
