Trailblazer Tennis blanks Ottawa Friday, 7-0

The Dixie State women's tennis team completed a two-match sweep of its Arizona trip on Friday, blanking Ottawa for a 7-0 victory at the Surprise Tennis Facility in Surprise, Arizona.
 
The Trailblazers (6-1) set the tone for the win with a clean sweep of the doubles matches. All three DSU doubles teams posted a 6-0 win in doubles play to claim the doubles point.
 
Dixie State carried the momentum in singles play, sweeping all six singles matches to claim the match victory. Kyra Harames and Juliana Honczaruk started things off in singles play, claiming 6-0, 6-0 victories at the No. 2 and No. 6 positions. Hattie Erekson wasn't far behind, earning a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5. Isabel Heras continued the trend with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 3, while Elly Lloyd grabbed a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 4. Yolena Carlon picked up another win at No. 1 singles, posting a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
 
The Trailblazers will take a four-match trip to northern California beginning on March 27. The trip will include matches against former PacWest foes Sonoma State and Holy Names.
