Trailblazer Tennis sweeps Arizona Christian Thursday, 7-0

Dixie State women's tennis opened its Arizona trip with a 7-0 sweep of Arizona Christian on Thursday at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
 
The Trailblazers (5-1, 1-0 RMAC) earned the doubles point to open the match, sweeping through each of the three doubles contests. Kyra Harames and Megan Lynch rolled to a 6-0 triumph at No. 2 doubles, while Juliana Honczaruk and Hattie Erekson matched the feat at No. 3 doubles. Yolena Carlon and Isabel Heras battled to a 7-6 win at the No. 1 position to complete the doubles sweep.
 
Honczaruk picked up where she left off in singles play, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles. Elly Lloyd picked up the second DSU singles play point, earning a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 5 spot. Lynch clinched the win for the Trailblazers with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at the No. 4 position. Carlon claimed a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles, while Harames posted a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2, and Heras wrapped up the match with a 7-6, 6-0 triumph at No. 3.
 
Dixie State will wrap up its Arizona trip with a matchup against Ottawa University on Friday at 10 a.m.
