Dixie State combined to break six more school records and post 12 top-10 all-time marks in Saturday's final day of competition en route to a ninth-place finish at the 2018 Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships at the Splash Aquatics Center.

Dixie State moved up one spot to ninth place in the 13-team field with a four-day total of 488 points. UC San Diego claimed the team title with 1620.5 points, while Fresno Pacific outscored Cal State East Bay, 1319-1114, for runner-up honors.

Sophomore Hannah Hansen (Lehi, Utah/Lehi HS) recorded one of the many Trailblazer highlights on Saturday as she swam an NCAA "B" qualifying time in the 200-yard breaststroke with a school-record preliminary heat time of 2:17.46. Hansen, who broke three individual school records at the meet, finished fifth-overall in the event, touching the wall in 2:18.52 (#2 all-time at DSU), while freshman Hannah Bodkin (Salem, Ore./West Salem HS) placed eighth at 2:22.08 (#6 all-time at DSU).

Freshman Megan Ruppenthal (Goodyear, Ariz./Desert Edge HS) collected two more school records on the day, the first coming with a ninth-place showing in the 200 backstroke at 2:06.02, while she swam the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay in a DSU record-setting time of 53.05. Ruppenthal, along with Phebe James (Heber City, Utah/Wasatch HS), Audrey Parrish (Wenatchee, Wash./Wenatchee HS) and Miriam Gonzalez (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta HS), posted DSU's fifth relay top-10 finish and school record with an eighth-place 3:33.56.

Gonzalez also broke the school standard in the 100 IM with a 12th-place 1:00.58, while Mycah Ellis (Hillsboro, Ore./Hillsboro HS) tied the school's 200 butterfly record with a 22nd-place time of 2:15.51. In all, Dixie State combined to break 15 school records and post 49 top-10 all-time results over the four-day meet.

Dixie State will find out on Monday, Feb. 26th, if Hansen will advance on to the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships, which will take place March 14-17, in Greensboro, N.C.
