STORM STORYLINES

Dixie State (15-6, 12-3 PacWest) plays three Pacific West Conference games in the span of six days beginning Thursday, Feb. 12 against Silverswords of Chaminade University. Following Thursday's game, DSU will host Hawai'i Hilo on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) and the Sharks of Hawai'i Pacific on Monday, Feb. 16. Each league contest begins at 7:30 p.m. inside the Burns Arena.

Play for Kay on Feb. 14 – On Saturday night, the Dixie State Basketball programs invite all to our "THINK PINK" games. In honor of all women and their families who are currently fighting or have fought the battle against breast cancer, both teams will wear PINK to show their support to them and for the Kay Yow Foundation (www.KayYow.com).  Former North Carolina State Head Women's Basketball Coach Kay Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away on Jan. 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease. With the creation of the Foundation, Coach Yow hoped to raise money to further cutting-edge research conducted by the nation's top doctors and medical experts to allow more and more cancer patients to have access to experimental drugs and clinical trials. Since the majority of these research projects are privately funded, these researchers desperately need our support in order for them to continue to make strides in finding a cure for cancer. To date, the Foundation has contributed nearly $4 million in support of women's cancer research.

Listen and Watch the Storm – DSU's games in the Burns Arena are broadcast live on the Storm Basketball Network on ESPN SportsRadio 106.1 FM, the flagship home of Dixie State Athletics. The pregame show begins approximately 15 minutes prior to tip. Fans can also listen to the audio online at SouthernUtahLive.com's free audio stream (click here). Live pay-per-view video is also available via SouthernUtahLive.com. CEC-TV will broadcast the game on tape delay at various times in the upcoming days. John Potter and Devin Dixon will have the call of the game from press row.
