LAST TIME OUT:  The Red Storm played in the Las Vegas Challenge at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and it didnt treat them to kindly. Losing to then #17 ranked Pittsburg State 58-81 and to #27 ranked Central Missouri 69-78. The Red Storm got great performances from Mandy Munns (Brigham City, UT/Box Elder) and Kaylah Miler during the tournament.

SCOUTING the RED STORM:  After a 1-3 start, with all three of those losses to GNAC opponents (two to Montana State Billings, one to Simon Fraser), Dixie State powered past its first four Pac West foes.  Junior forward Johnna Brown (Las Vegas, NV/Centennial ), at 6-foot-1, is a powerful presence on the court for the Red Storm. Brown averages a double-double of 12.3 points and 11.3 rebounds, the latter of which leads the Pac West. Only once in 11 games has she not led the team on the boards, with double-figure performances in 10 of those games. KRISTENSEN KORNER:We have yet another tough West Region opponent in Seattle Pacific.   There is no way around it, this is by far the toughest schedule we have ever put together at Dixie State. I have always felt in order to be the best you have to beat the best and in my eyes spu has always been one of the top contenders in West coast.

SCOUTING SEATTLE PACIFIC:The Falcons are off to a 7-2 record and one of the leading teams in D-2 at the foul line by shooting 78.5 percent. They can put points on the board by averaging 75.3 per game and last time out against Notre Dame de Namur they scored 97.  Fromt he field head coach Julie Heisey's team shoots 45.9 percent and 39.8 percent from the three point line. Both team have struggled taking care of the ball, witht he Falcons and the Red Storm averaging 18.7 per game. Foreard Kaite Benson leads the team in scoring at 14.3 ppg, followed closely by guard Suzanna Ohlsen at 13.2 ppg and guard Rachel Murray at 10.3 ppg.

KRISTENSEN on SEATTLE PACIFIC: “ They are extremely well coached and work hard.  We will need to control three things in order to win this game. Tempo rebounding and turnovers.   They haven't lost at home so we know that we have to play well in order to win this game.”
