Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, California – January 17, 2011- Johnna Brown (Las Vegas, NV/Centennial ) scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to propel the 20th ranked Dixie State College women's basketball team to a 76-50 win over Academy of Art University in a Pacific West Conference matchup tonight.

The Urban Knights (4-10, 2-3 PacWest) Jasmine English hit a jumper with 6:09 remaining in the first half to cut the Red Storm lead to three points at 24-21. Dixie State's (12-1, 2-0 PacWest) Gabriella Rodriguez (West Jordan, UT/West Jordan) hit two three pointers and connected on two free throws during a 17-2 run. She would end the half scoring 11 of her 13 points.

Academy of Art would only manage two more points the rest of the half and would trail 41-23 at intermission.

Dixie State connected on 10 three-pointers and shot 45.5 percent from behind the arc. Breann Hill (Harrisburg, PA/McDevitt) scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds and helped to pace the Red Storm to a 49.1 percent shooting from the field.

The Red Storm capitalized on 25 Urban Knight turnovers and converted them into 25 points. They held AAU to 31.1 percent from the field and also won the rebounding battle 41-29.

For AAU, English scored 12 points in the loss.
