Brown, who missed yesterday's game with flu like symptoms, returned with a vengeance. Leading 59-57 with 10:27 remaining, Brown scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half and led a Red Storm 29-10 game-ending run to pull out the victory over the Statesmen (10-5 overall, 2-0 MCC) .

In the first half, the Dixie State (10-1 overall, 0-0 PWC) offense went thru Erica Carlson (Tucson, AZ/Canyon del Oro HS) (17 points, 8 rebounds, 6 blocks) and Shanae Vaifanua (Hurricane, UT/Hurricane) (15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals). Dixie State led by as many as 11 points before a 15-6 William Penn run allowed them back in the game.

Christa Shubbert helped the Statesmen by scoring a game-high 30 points and Orielle Thomas chipped in 19 points giving the Red Storm an early scare.

Committing a season low 11 turnovers, Dixie State took advantage of their size and pounded the ball down low. The Red Storm scored 54 points in the paint and won the rebounding advantage 50-36. DSC converted 15 offensive boards into 15 2nd chance points. Clearly making the difference in the game.

Breann Hill (Harrisburg, PA/McDevitt) who only played one minute on Friday night, scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards. She was a game time decision because of her broken middle finger on her left hand.

Dixie State shot 49.3 percent from the field, but once again connected on only one three-pointer in the game on 12 tries. The Red Storm shot 21 of 26 from the charity stripe for an 80.8 percent.

Dixie State will take its mandatory Christmas break from now until Dec 26th. They will return from their break and begin practice preparing for a showdown with PacWest opponent Grand Canyon University. The Antelopes are ranked 19th in the most recent NCAA poll and are 11-1 on the year. They have one more warm-up on Dec 31st against Texas A&M International before they square off with the Red Storm on the night of January 8th.
