(Riverside, Calif. - Sept. 19 2026) - The Trailblazer cross country teams tallied a pair of top 15 team finishes on Saturday morning at the UC Riverside Invitational hosted at the UCR AG OPS Course.

With the morning getting started with the women's 6K Invite, the Trailblazers placed 15th as a team with three top 100 finishes.

Led by senior Averie Perriton clocking the third-fastest 6K in program history, the Cheyenne, Wyo., native placed 22nd with a time of 20:46.7.

Junior Hailee Phillips and freshman Maya Parker finished 91st (21:31.6) & 100th (21:37.3), respectively with four more Trailblazers coming in right behind Parker in the next 13 spots.

Ashlynn Lainhart (101st), Kambrie Wilkinson (106th), Talia Anderson (107th) & Natalie Roberts (113th) rounded out the top seven Trailblazers.

Utah Tech scored 397 points while UC Irvine was the team champion with 65 points.

On the men's side, three top 10 times in program history in the 8K highlighted a fifth-place finish as a team.

Senior Ryan Hatch registered a 14th-place showing becoming the second Trailblazer to break the 24-minute mark in the 8K clocking a time of 23:59.5 for the second-fastest time in program history, only bested by Kyle Neuenschwander (23:54.2) in 2024.

Junior Brady Eager & sophomore Brett Bailey placed 26th (24:15.7) & 43rd (24:31.2), respectively as their times are the sixth & ninth-fastest in program history.

Benjamin Fernandez (46th), Carter Day (69th) & Aiden Hardy (71st) also posted top 100 finishes.

The Trailblazer men scored 178 points while Southern Utah took home the top spot with 49 points.

Pepperdine (97), Cal Poly Pomona (103) & Pomona-Pitzer (149) came in second through fourth, respectively.

The Trailblazers make the quick trip to Cedar City for the Southern Utah Color Country Invitational at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course on Oct. 3.
