Trailblazers Announce 2026 Volleyball Schedule

(St. George, Utah - July 18, 2026) - The Utah Tech volleyball team released its 2026 schedule on Saturday.

Playing a total of 28 contests, the Trailblazers will host 11 matches in Burns Arena, play 12 road matches and round out action with five neutral site contests.

Utah Tech gets the season started with a pair of exhibitions hosting UNLV on Aug. 15 and traveling to BYU on Aug. 22.

The regular season gets started at the Utah Valley Tournament on Aug. 28-29 taking on former WAC rival and host Utah Valley along with Pac-12 foe Oregon State and Big 12 opponent Utah.

Both the Wolverines and Utes are coming off NCAA Tournament berths and join Northern Colorado as the three teams who made last season's NCAA Tournament that the Trailblazers will face in 2026.

The month of September opens up with a trip to Hawai'i to take on the Rainbow Wahine on Sept. 3 along with matches against Big West opponent UC San Diego on Sept. 4 and WCC foe Loyola Marymount on Sept. 6.

The next week keeps the Trailblazers on the road heading to California to take on San Jose State & UC Irvine in Irvine on Sept. 11 & Sept. 12.

The final non-conference weekend sees the Trailblazers host a pair of matches for the Utah Tech Tournament welcoming UC Riverside for their home opener on Sept. 18 and following up the next day with a morning contest against former WAC foe Chicago State. The Highlanders and Cougars will play a neutral site contest on Sept. 17.

The Trailblazers begin their 18-match Big Sky slate on the road heading to Portland State on Sept. 24 before making their way to 2025 Big Sky regular season champion Northern Arizona on Sept. 26.

Utah Tech hosts Southern Utah for its Big Sky home opener on Sept. 29 and takes on Northern Colorado, the 2025 Big Sky tournament champion, to begin October on Oct. 1.

The following weekend keeps the Trailblazers in St. George hosting Weber State (Oct. 8) and Idaho State (Oct. 10) before heading out on the road the following weekend to face Montana State (Oct. 15) and Montana (Oct. 17).

The next week sees the Trailblazers split action between home and road hosting Idaho on Oct. 22 before a road contest at Eastern Washington on Oct. 24 as the Trailblazers will only play the Vandals & Eagles once apiece in the regular season.

The final weekend of October brings Montana to Burns Arena on Oct. 29 followed by a Friday night contest against Montana State on Oct. 30.

The month of November gets started for Utah Tech heading out on the road for their final four road Big Sky matches traveling to Idaho State (Nov. 5), Weber State (Nov. 7), Southern Utah (Nov. 10) and Northern Colorado (Nov. 13).

The regular season wraps up hosting Northern Arizona on Nov. 18 and Portland State on Nov. 20.

The 2026 Big Sky Tournament will be hosted by Northern Arizona in Flagstaff on Nov. 23-25 at the Rolle Activity Center.

The Trailblazers bring back nine returners from last season's co-WAC regular season championship team and bring in six newcomers this season.
