Utah Tech junior first baseman
Miller Durham has been named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Division I all-West Region second team.
Durham, who also collected second team all-Western Athletic Conference honors last month, finished his Trailblazer debut season as the WAC's leading hitter with a .406 average, which currently ranks him sixth in the NCAA D-I national rankings.
Durham totaled 20 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles and 10 home runs, and finished with 43 RBI and 40 runs scored in 45 games.
The junior first baseman wrapped up the 2026 campaign as one of the hottest hitters in the WAC, closing the year with a 10-game hit streak, and a career-best 31-game on-base streak. He hit safely in 36 of his 45 starts with 23 multi-hit outings, including at least two hits in 15 of his last 22 games overall.
He earned all-WAC Tournament honors last month after he batted an even .500 (9-for-18) with one RBI and four runs scored.
Despite playing in only 45 games this season, Durham finished fourth in the WAC in on-base percentage (.490), fifth in slugging percentage (.634), t-ninth in the WAC in homers, 12
th in hits (71) and 19
th in RBI.
Durham was dominant in conference play, during which he hit a combined .429 (2
nd) with seven extra base hits and 19 RBI. He is also rated as one of the best defensive first basemen in the conference, and nationally, as he posted a .994 fielding percentage with only two errors in 333 total chances.
Utah Tech closed the 2026 season with a 35-24 overall record, an 11-win turnaround from a season ago. Utah Tech's 35 wins this year also marked the sixth time in the program's NCAA era that the Trailblazers had reached the 35-win plateau, and are the most victories in the program's brief time as a Division I member.
