For the second time this season, Utah Tech junior first baseman
Miller Durham has been named University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Â
Durham (6-1; San Diego, Calif./Faith Lutheran (NV) HS/Point Loma/College of Southern Nevada) batted a combined .667 (10-for-15) with three home runs, 11 RBI and five runs scored in four starts last week.Â
Â
The junior opened the final week of the regular season going 2-for-2 with an RBI in the Trailblazers' road finale at Utah (5/12).
Â
Durham then went on to hit .615 (8-for-13) in Utah Tech's three-game home sweep of Abilene Christian, during which he belted all three of his homers, highlighted by a two-homer, five-RBI day in last Saturday's 19-8 win.Â
Â
Durham's five RBI last Saturday bettered his previous career high of four, which he recorded in the Blazers' 22-12 triumph last Thursday night. He went 3-for-6 in that game with a homer and two runs score, then followed that up with a 2-for-3 night and drove in another run in last Friday's 7-4 victory.Â
Â
Durham closed the 2026 regular season as the WAC's leading hitter with a .395 average to go with 10 home runs, nine doubles and 42 RBI in 41 games. He is currently riding a six-game hit streak, and a career-best 27-game on-base streak.Â
Â
Utah Tech (33-22) heads to Mesa, Ariz., for the 2026 WAC Baseball Tournament, which will take place this Wednesday-through-Saturday at Hohokam Park.
Â
The third-seeded Trailblazers will square off against No. 6 seed UT Arlington in the first game of the tournament at 12 noon (MT).Â
