Utah Tech sophomore righthander Talan Kelly was named Western Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Monday for his efforts in the Trailblazers' four-game home sweep of Northern Colorado this past weekend.
 
The sophomore from Santa Clara, Utah (Snow Canyon HS), went 1-0 and struck out five over 2.1 innings in two relief appearances over the weekend. 

Kelly struck out the side in the ninth inning in the Trailblazers' 11-5 victory in game three on Saturday, then punched out two more hitters over the final 1.1 innings in Sunday's series finale to earn the decision in Utah Tech's thrilling 6-4 walk-off triumph. 

Kelly currently owns a 2-0 record with eight strikeouts and a 1.69 ERA in 5.1 innings over four appearances out of the Trailblazer bullpen this season.
