(St. George, Utah - March 14, 2026) - The Trailblazers closed out the Trailblazer Classic on Saturday afternoon falling 12-2 in five innings to Omaha at Karl Brooks Field.
Utah Tech (10-17) was held to one hit in the contest by Omaha (17-7) starting pitcher Alexis Wiggins getting a single by
Sadie Phillips in the fourth.
In the circle,
Delaney Wright got the start tossing 3.2 innings with
Cemryn Pickett (0.1 innings) and
Riley Price (1.0) closing out the contest.
How It Happened
The Mavericks opened the scoring with a four-run second inning and added three runs in the fourth to build a 7-0 lead.
The Trailblazers answered with their lone two runs of the afternoon with Phillips and
Lakaiya-Braessia Kahahawai-Kekona each scoring after Omaha throwing errors.
Omaha tacked on five more runs in the fifth belting both a pair of home runs to take a 12-2 lead.
