(Mesa, Az - Mar. 13, 2026) – Utah Tech women's tennis secures its fourth and fifth sweep of the season, defeating Mesa Community College in a double header on Friday at the Mesa CC Tennis Courts.

For the second and third matches in a row, Utah Tech (8-10, 0-0 WAC) did not drop a single set in singles or doubles play. In match one of the double header, duos Mariana Zurita Berdecio/Ana Gutierrez Sampere and Maya Inouye/Nutsa Tsintsadze swept both doubles matches. 

The Trailblazers continued their strong play in the singles matches, with Cameron Hendrix, Nicole Kells, and Raquel Roshak all sweeping their opponents in two sets. Roshak recorded her first win of the season in dominant fashion at Singles No. 5.

Utah Tech continued their momentum into the second match of the doubleheader by winning both of the doubles matches for the third match in a row. UT pair Cameron Hendrix Nicole Kells teamed up for their first win together this season at Doubles No. 2, 6-1. Maya Inouye and Nutsa Tsintsadze secured the doubles point with a win at Doubles No. 1, 6-1.

The Trailblazers shuffled the lineup around in the singles matches of game two, and Ana Gutierrez Sampere and Ilse Fernanda Elechiguerra Ortega both recorded shutouts in their respective matches. Raquel Roshak got the match clinching point for Utah Tech with her victory at Singles No. 4 (6-1, 6-0), which was her second singles win of the 2026 campaign. 

Every active Trailblazer was able to record a win today in singles, with Hendrix and Roshak both recording two wins.
