(Las Vegas, Nev. - Feb. 21, 2026) – Utah Tech women's tennis was shut out against Colorado, 7-0, on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in the battle of the bison.
The Buffaloes (8-2, 0-0 Big 12) took the doubles point with wins at first and second doubles to open the match. Utah Tech (3-7, 0-0 WAC) freshmen
Cameron Hendrix and
Ilse Fernanda Elechiguerra Ortega were trailing CU's Heidi Crncan and Willow Gretsch, 4-3, at third doubles when the set went unfinished.
The Buffaloes' women's tennis team used the momentum gained from their match win earlier in the day versus Gonzaga and ran away from the Trailblazers in the back half of their double header.
Colorado's stout play carried into singles matches, earning a 7-0 sweep.
The Trailblazers will next head to Grand Junction, Colorado for a two match road trip on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28, against old RMAC foes Colorado Mesa and Colorado College.
