(St. George, Ut. - Feb. 15, 2026) – Utah Tech women's tennis falls at home to Idaho State, 5-2, this afternoon at the Trailblazer Tennis Courts to conclude a two-match homestand.
This was a rare two-day match as it began Saturday, Feb. 14, because of schedule changes due to impending weather this upcoming week, and concluded on Sunday afternoon.
Future conference foe Idaho State (4-4, 0-0 Big Sky) struck first on Saturday afternoon, winning the doubles point. The Bengals were led in the doubles by the pairing of Victoria Grymalska Sydney Morris, winning 6-1.
In between Saturday's doubles match and Sunday's singles match, Idaho State squared off against North Dakota on Sunday morning and took down the Fighting Hawks, 5-2.
The Bengals carried that momentum from their morning match into singles play against the Trailblazers (3-6, 0-0 WAC), winning the first four decided matches. Idaho State was led in the singles with strong play from sophomores Millie Day (6-2,6-1) and Victoria Grymalska (6-0,6-1).
After the overall match was decided, UT salvaged two points via two tiebreaking 3rd set wins from
Maya Inouye and
Cameron Hendrix. Both Maya and Cameron went 2-0 in singles play this weekend.
The Trailblazers will head back down to Las Vegas next Saturday for a neutral site match against Colorado University.
