Utah Tech swimming collected three event victories in its final dual meet of the 2025-26 season vs. Idaho on Senior Day Saturday at the HPC Pool.
Cera Mallory accounted for two of the Trailblazers' three race wins, the first came in the 1,650-yard free by nearly 14 seconds with a time of 17:02.58 (#4 all-time at Utah Tech). The junior then followed that up a little later with a victory in the 200 breaststroke, touching the wall first in a time of 2:20.85.
Utah Tech also claimed victory in the 50 free thanks to
Gabby Henry, who sprinted her way to the win in a time of 24.10.
Meanwhile,
Alyssa Gordon recorded a runner-up finish in the 400 IM (4:32.35), while
Reagan Patterson (53.91) and
Mary Sims Cross (2:06.80) placed third in the 100 free and 200 back, respectively.
In addition, senior
Natalia Zmierczak, swimming in her final home meet of her four-year career, posted a third-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.35.
In the relays, the team of Cross,
Jenna Tracy,
Madeleine McGaughy and Henry placed third in the 200 medley relay at 1:48.08.
Then in the final event of the day, the team of Mallory, Patterson, Henry and Zmierczak touched the wall in second place in the 400 free relay at 3:32.88.
"I was really pleased with the effort of our team today," said Utah Tech head coach Shawn King. "It was awesome to have some good racing and good effort.
"We've gone through a tough training patch right coming out of the hardest three weeks of our season before we taper into the [MPSF] conference meet," King added.
Utah Tech wraps up its 2025-26 dual meet season in three weeks with a two-day road MPSF dual at Northern Arizona on Jan. 30-31.
