(St. George - Sept. 19, 2025) – Utah Tech women's soccer rallied past Portland State, 2-1, on Friday night at Greater Zion Stadium. The Trailblazers scored two goals in less than five minutes to flip the script in the second half and earn their second win over a Big Sky opponent this season.
Utah Tech (4-3-2, 0-0-0 WAC) put the first shot on goal in the 20th minute. Viking redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Finley Crabtree saved redshirt sophomore forward

Crabtree made back-to-back saves on Trailblazer shots in the 26th minute, thwarting shots by senior forward
Lacy Fox and freshman forward
Jocelyn Wright. Fox had another shot toward the right post saved in the 28th minute.Â
Wright put one on target down the middle in the 38th minute, but Crabtree was in the way.
Portland State (1-4-2, 0-0-0 Big Sky) took a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute. Sophomore forward/midfielder Sydney Spotts sent a low cross into the box, and sophomore midfielder Grace Sarabia buried the ball into the left side of the net for the first goal.
Crabtree made her final save of the first half in the 41st minute, getting in the way of a blast by freshman forward

Junior forward
Ella Rusick hit a shot to the left side in the 54th minute, but Crabtree made another stop.
UT came oh-so close to equalizing in the 49th and 62nd minutes, but Brost and junior defender
Michelle Rodriguez both hit the left post on their shots, respectively.
Senior midfielder
Kyah Le left the ball to Wright at the top left corner of the box in the 77th minute. Wright opened a window with one touch and tied the game on a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the net. It was Wright's second goal of the season and Le's team-leading fifth assist of the year.
Five minutes late, Fox sent a curling ball into the box, and sophomore midfielder
Bre Koscielski headed it over Crabtree and into the back of the net to take the lead, 2-1. It was Koscielski's second goal and second game-winning goal of the season. Fox picked up her second assist with the cross.
With the lead in hand, Utah Tech did not allow a single Viking shot in the final eight minutes.
UT launched a season-high 25 shots, with nine on goal. PSU was limited to five shots, including one on target.Â
The Trailblazers start conference play on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Southern Utah. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Thunderbird Soccer Field in Cedar City, Utah.
