UT's first shot on goal came in the 40th minute when sophomore Elijah Dinkel tested UCSD graduate goalkeeper Nolan Premack, who made his first save.

Senior defender Anthony Godinez tried a long shot in the final seconds of the first half, but was blocked by a Triton defender. Four of Utah Tech's five shots in the first half were blocked by UCSD.

Campoli made his first career save on a sharp attempt at goal by Oppenheim in the 55th minute.
