Utah Tech junior
Tanner Telford was the Trailblazers' lone representative on the 2024-25 Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf postseason awards list, which was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Telford (5-11; Mountain Green, Utah/Morgan HS/Utah) earned second team all-WAC honors after leading the Trailblazers with a 72.67 season stroke average, which ranked as the fifth-best single season average in the program's NCAA era. He also became the first Trailblazer in the program's Division I era to collect postseason all-conference accolades.

Telford played in nine of Utah Tech's 10 team events and recorded a team-high three top-10 individual finishes, along with 10 par-or-better rounds, including six rounds in the 60s, in 27 total loops.

Three of those rounds came in his debut event, the Colorado State Ram Masters Invitational (9/17-18/24), where he finished in solo third place with a three-round total of 8-under 202. The junior's 202 tied for the second lowest 54-hole score in Utah Tech's four-year era.

Telford carded three rounds in the 60s, highlighted by a season best 4-under 66, to help lead the Trailblazers to a team runner-up finish.Â

The junior also notched a pair of top-10 showings to begin the 2025 spring season, beginning with a t-sixth place finish at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate (2/24-26). He followed that up two weeks later with a t-eighth result at the Idaho Bandon Dunes Championships (3/9-11).Â
In all, Telford came away with six top-20s showings in his nine starts, and closed the year with a t-28
th place finish at the 2025 WAC Championships (4/25-27).
Utah Tech completed its fifth season of NCAA Division I play with seven top-eight showings in 10 team events, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the season-opening CSU Ram Masters Invitational this past September.Â
