Justin Decker announced the signing of five new student-athletes for the 2025 season on Wednesday.
A pair of women and three men will be newcomers to their respective 2025 rosters.
On the women's side, Zoie Adcox (Salado, Texas/Salado HS) and Natalie Roberts (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View HS) join the Trailblazers from the high school ranks after both graduated in 2025.
Adcox is coming off finishing 34th overall in the two-mile at the 2024 UIL 4A State Cross Country Championships as a senior clocking a time of 12:15.20 and checked in 12th at the UIL Region III 4A Championship (12:35.72) while earning First Team Academic All-State honors.
Roberts has excelled on the track as a prep finishing ninth in the 800 meters (2:17.00) and 13th in the 3200 meters (11:11.26) at the 2025 AIA State Track and Field Championships.
As a junior, Roberts placed fifth in the 800 meters (2:14.87) at the 2024 AIA State Track and Field Championships and was ran the opening leg for the sixth-place finishing 4x400 meter relay team.
On the men's side, the Trailblazers welcome the trio of Carter Frost (Layton, Utah/Northridge HS), Grayson Peterson (Milton, Ga./Cambridge HS) and Mordechai Yadegar (Logandale, Nev./Moapa Valley HS).
Frost is a 2023 graduate of Northridge High School in Layton, Utah and arrives in St. George after a two-year mission.
As a senior in 2022, Frost finished 42nd at the UHSAA State Cross Country Championships posting a time of 16:29.1 in the 5K and posted a time of 16:24.7 in the 3-mile at the Region 5 Cross Country Championships.
Peterson and Yadegar come to Utah Tech after prep careers that wrapped up in Georgia and Nevada, respectively.
Peterson notched an eighth-place finish this spring at the GHSA 4A Championships registering a time of 9:38.18 and Yadegar won the 2025 NIAA 3A State Championship in the 800 meters (1:59.08), 1600 meters (4:20.16) and 3200 meters (9:53.57).
In addition, Yadegar ran the second leg in the 4x400 meter relay that won the state champion posting a time of 3:31.43.
The Trailblazer men and women both return eight student-athletes apiece.
