Utah Tech bounced back with a solid second loop on day two of the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships played on Saturday at the Golf Club at Chapparal Pines in Payson, Ariz.
After opening with a 14-over par 302 on Friday, the Trailblazers combined to tie for the low round of the day with a 5-over 293 to vault two spots into fourth place at plus-19 595.

Seattle U (290-296) remained atop the team leaderboard at plus-10 586 through 36 holes, four shots clear of second place Tarleton State (297-293-590; +14), and seven strokes ahead of third place Grand Canyon (293-300-593; +17.Â

Utah Valley (304-295-599; +23) closed day two four shots back of Utah Tech in fifth place, followed by Abilene Christian (304-301-605; +29) in sixth, California Baptist (300-306-606; +30) in seventh, Southern Utah (304-316-320; +44) in eighth, and UT Arlington (300-323-623; +47) in ninth.Â

Sophomore
Ashton McArthur (74-71) continued his solid start to the championship, carding three birdies and one of nine total eagles in the field on Saturday, on his way to a 1-under 71. McArthur's 71 was the Blazers' low round of the event and elevated him five spots on the player leaderboard into a two-way tie for fifth at plus-1 145.

Fellow sophomore
Jackson Rhees (76-72) also enjoyed a strong start to his second loop as he birdied three of his first four holes, and he penciled in five total birdies on his card en route to an even par 72. Thanks to his 72, Rhees made the second-biggest move up the board, climbing 17 spots to join two others tied for 10
th at plus-4 148.

Zach Felts (75-76) manage to roll in one birdie on each side on his way to a 4-over 76 as he moved up one spot to t-17
th at plus-7 151. Junior
Tanner Telford (77-76) also came away with a 76, including opening with back-to-back birdies, which was good to join a logjam of seven players tied for 23
rd at plus-9 153.

KJ Ofahengaue (85-74) battled back from a rough opening loop with three birdies as part of a 2-over 74 to move into a tie for 39
th at plus-15 159.Â
Utah Tech will look to carry its momentum into Sunday's final round, which gets underway for the Trailblazers beginning at 9:20 a.m. (PT). Â
