Jon Judkins announced the signing of Snow College transfer Chance Trujillo to a financial aid agreement ahead of the upcoming 2025-26 season on Friday.
Trujillo comes to Utah Tech with a pair of college seasons under his belt split between last season at Snow College and started his college career at Weber State in 2021-22.
In between his stops at Snow and in Ogden, Trujillo went on a two-year mission and will come to St. George with three more years of eligibility remaining after redshirting in his lone year as a Wildcat.
The 6-4 guard from Kaysville, Utah played in all 34 games for the Badgers last season while making 18 starts as Snow College posted an impressive 32-2 record.
One of five Badgers who averaged double figures, Trujillo tallied 10.9 points per contest to go along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, and reached double figures in 21 contests.
He shot 45.8 percent (120-262) from the field and ranked second on the team in three-point percentage hitting 44.7 percent (84-188) from downtown. Trujillo sank 83.6 percent hitting 46-of-55 from the free throw line.
After a loss to Midland College on Nov. 21, the Badgers won their final 22 games of the regular season before winning a pair of games to claim the Region 18 Tournament.
Snow went on to defeat Eastern Arizona College in the West District Championship before falling to Connors State College in the NJCAA National Tournament where Trujillo led the team with 15 points adding two assists and two steals.
Trujillo ranked third on the team averaging 27.0 minutes per contest and played in a season high 34 minutes in three contests and registered 25 or more minutes in 25 contests.
A 2021 graduate of Davis High School, Trujillo was named All-State in both football and basketball and helped the Darts win the 2021 Utah 6A UHSAA State Championship and was named the 6A State Tournament MVP.
