(Las Vegas, Nev. - Feb. 15, 2025) - Utah Tech women's tennis stumbled at UNLV, falling 7-0 on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. 

Sophomore Olivia Bustos forced her match to a tiebreaker in the number two singles spot. After losing the first set to UNLV freshman Veronica Kliuch 6-2, Bustos came back to win the second set 7-5. The extra third set went back and forth, but Kliuch pulled away in the end, winning the tiebreaker 11-9.

In the number six singles spot, junior Raquel Roshak won four games in the second set against freshman Sofiia Sokolvak before falling 6-2, 6-4.

Bustos and sophomore Ana Gutierrez Sampere battled tough in the first doubles match but ultimately came up short to Rebel pair sophomore Nikol Mircheva and senior Hanna Vinahradava 7-6 (7-3).

The Trailblazers finish their Las Vegas slate tomorrow by taking on Kansas City on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. (MT) at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
