Lacy Fox scored her fourth goal of the season in the effort.
Utah Tech (7-6-4, 3-3-2 WAC) claimed an early lead, 1-0, in the fifth minute. After sophomore midfielder
Bre Koscielski's initial shot was blocked, she collected the rebound and set up Fox at the right corner of the box. She took a touch to the left and rocketed a left-footer into the back of the net.
Fox tried a shot from the same spot in the 25th minute, but CBU senior goalkeeper Mikayla O'Brien protected her near post.
California Baptist (9-7-1, 5-2-0 WAC) logged its first shot in the 25th minute, but didn't get its first shot on target until the 28th minute. CBU junior forward/defender Ava Westlund put a shot on frame by the right post, and senior goalkeeper
Brianna Frey slid in front to send the ball out of play.
The Lancers tied the match at 1-1 in the 31st minute. CBU sophomore forward Nikki Mau put away a shot just outside of the penalty area. Westlund and Lancer senior forward Kaylee Hauck assisted on the goal.
California Baptist was given a penalty kick in the 54th minute after VAR review. CBU junior midfielder Anja Jestrovic converted from the mark to take a 2-1 lead.
Frey rose up to grab Haauck's high shot in the 64th minute.

Kearney Hoggan fired a shot on goal off a breakaway in the 68th minute, but O'Brien dove to her left to make the stop.
Frey stayed in front of a long shot by Lancer senior forward/midfielder Amelia Compston for her third and final save in the 73rd minute.
CBU outshot UT 11-9 with a 5-3 edge in shots on goal. The Lancers were charged with 10 more fouls, 16-6.
The Trailblazers play their final road match of the season on Monday, Oct. 27, at Utah Valley. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at UCCU Stadium in Orem, Utah.
