(St. George, Utah - June 26, 2024) - The Utah Tech volleyball team added transfer
Tessa Treanor to the 2024 roster, head coach
Camilla Hafoka announced on Wednesday.
A transfer from Salt Lake Community College, Treanor, the younger sister of assistant coach Megan Treanor, is an outside hitter who earned NJCAA First Team All-American in 2023 season with the Bruins after prepping at Salem Hills High School in Salem, Utah.
Playing in all 127 sets and 34 matches last season, Treanor led the team with 384 kills, averaging 3.02 kills per set, and 80 service aces while notching a .250 hitting percentage.
Treanor also ranked second on the team with 347 digs and tied for third on the club with 50 total blocks.Â
After starting the season 7-5, the Bruins went on a 19-match winning streak that lasted through the national tournament where SLCC went 2-2 overall as Treanor earned NJCAAÂ Nationals All-Tournament Team honors.
As a prep at Salem Hills High School, Treanor was a four-year letter winner for the Skyhawks accumulating 1,291 kills over 394 sets adding 982 digs, 294 service aces, 111 assists and 83 total blocks.
The Trailblazers get the 2024 season underway with the Red vs. Navy scrimmage on Aug. 15 and an exhibition at UNLV on Aug. 24 before opening the season at the Weber State Invitational on Aug. 30-31.
