The Trailblazers got the scoring started in the second inning with a three-run frame with a solo blast to left by Campbell getting action started before a two-run RBI single back up the middle by
Carly Eldredge pushed UT ahead, 3-0.
Back-to-back two-out singles by Campbell and

Three scoreless innings followed before the Lancers broke up Utah Tech's shutout bid in the seventh with a two-out RBI single back up the middle by Merissa Borkowski. That was where their rally ended as Johnston got the final Lancer to line out to left to seal the victory.
