(St. George, Utah - March 3, 2024) - The Trailblazers fell 5-0 to Utah on Sunday afternoon at the Trailblazer Tournament at Karl Brooks Field.
Utah Tech (6-9), who was held off the scoreboard for only the third time this season, went hitless as Utah (12-6) starting pitcher Sarah Ladd threw a perfect game retiring all 21 Trailblazers she faced.
On the mound for the Blazers, senior
Tyler Denhart threw her fifth complete game of the season tossing seven innings allowing 12 hits, five runs, four earned and walked one.
The Utes scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings before adding two runs in the seventh for a 5-0 lead as the Blazers were unable to muster any offense against Ladd.
The Trailblazers wrap up the Trailblazer Tournament on Monday with a rematch against Utah at 11 a.m.
