Utah Tech Football will open its 2024 spring camp next Tuesday, March 19, in preparation for its fifth NCAA Division I FCS season, and its second season as part of the United Athletic Conference.

The Trailblazers will hold 14 formal practices during spring camp, which will conclude with the annual spring game at Greater Zion Stadium on Saturday, April 15. Kick-off is set for 11:30 a.m.

In addition to the spring drills, the Trailblazer football program will host its annual golf tournament fundraiser on Friday, April 19, at Bloomington Country Club. For more information, sponsorship opportunities or to register for the tournament, please contact the Utah Tech University Football Office at 435-652-7527, or visit this link to register.

First year head coach Lance Anderson (Idaho State, 1997) opens his debut spring camp with 38 returning letter winners from the 2023 squad, including 15 on offense, 18 on defense, and five on special team, as well as 35 redshirts, 11 of whom saw game action last season.

The roster of returnees includes two of the team's top rushers from a year ago, along with seven offensive linemen who all saw time, and four of the team's leading tacklers from a season ago.

Coach Anderson and his staff signed 29 newcomers during the early signing period and on National Signing Day on Feb. 7. That class featured nine offensive linemen, six defensive linemen, four defensive backs, three quarterbacks, three running backs, two linebackers, two wide receivers, one tight end, and one listed as an athlete.

The Trailblazers will play six of their 12 games this upcoming fall inside Greater Zion Stadium, starting with their 2024 season opener against Big Sky Conference power Montana State on Saturday, August 31. Utah Tech will also host Big Sky member Northern Arizona (Sept. 14), and will play four UAC home dates, including Abilene Christian (Sept. 28), North Alabama (Oct. 5), Central Arkansas (Nov. 2) and Austin Peay (Nov. 16).

Utah Tech's six-game road slate begins with a quick trip down I-15 to Las Vegas to play at UNLV on Saturday, Sept. 7, inside Allegiant Stadium. Utah Tech will also travel to Big Sky member UC Davis (Sept. 21), as well as consecutive UAC road trips to Tarleton State (Oct. 12) and Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 26).

In addition, the Trailblazers will head to the Peach State to play at UAC newcomer West Georgia (Nov. 9), before wrapping up the season with the annual "Battle For The Axe" showdown at in-state rival Southern Utah on Nov. 23.

Season and single game tickets for the upcoming 2024 season will go on sale in the coming weeks.
