Utah Tech Football will open its 2026 spring camp this upcoming Tuesday, March 17, in preparation for its seventh NCAA Division I FCS season, and its debut season in the Big Sky Conference this upcoming fall.

The Trailblazers will hold 14 formal practices during spring camp, which will conclude with the annual spring game at Greater Zion Stadium on Saturday, April 18 at 6 p.m. (MT).

Third year head coach
Lance Anderson (Idaho State, 1997) opens his spring camp with 23 returning letter winners from the 2025 squad, including 10 on offense (six starters), 12 on defense (seven starters), and one on special teams, as well as 40 redshirts, 18 of whom saw game action last season.Â
In addition, Coach Anderson and his staff will welcome 35 newcomers to spring camp, including 18 on the offensive side of the ball, 16 on defense, and one specialist.Â

The Trailblazers' 2026 schedule features five home games at Greater Zion Stadium and seven road dates, and includes 11 total games against Big Sky opponents, and one match-up against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in-state power.
Utah Tech will make its season and Big Sky debut at home against 2025 Division I FCS champion Montana State on Saturday, August 29. The Blazers will kick-off their seven-game road schedule one week later with a quick drive north on Interstate 15 to Provo to play at Big 12 member BYU on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The Blazers continue the non-conference portion of their schedule with back-to-back games against two more Big Sky members that were previously scheduled before Utah Tech joined the league.
Utah Tech will travel to Missoula to face Montana on Saturday, Sept. 12, before returning home to host Northern Arizona on Saturday, Sept. 19.
From there, the Trailblazers return to conference action by playing three of their next four Big Sky games on the road, starting with a trip to Greeley to play at Northern Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Utah Tech will then gear up for their annual "Battle For The Axe" showdown vs. in-state rival Southern Utah at Greater Zion Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 3. Â
The Trailblazers follow that up with road games at Portland State (Oct. 10) and Cal Poly (Oct. 24), which bookend the team's bye week (Oct. 17), before closing out October with a Halloween home game vs. Idaho State (Oct. 31).Â
Utah Tech heads to California one week later for a road date at UC Davis on Saturday, Nov. 7, and will host Eastern Washington in its 2026 home finale on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The Trailblazers will then wrap up the regular season in Ogden with an in-state Big Sky showdown at Weber State on Saturday, Nov. 21.Â
