(Orem, Utah - Nov. 1, 2024) - The Trailblazer cross country teams wrapped up action at the WAC Cross Country Championships on Friday morning hosted by Utah Valley at Lakeside Park.

With the women getting the morning started, the Trailblazers were led by Lexi Larsen with a 27th place finish in the 6K with the junior clocking a time of 21:53.32.

Sophomore Averie Perriton finished 33rd clocking a time of 22:13.55 while the scorers were rounded out by Adri Bird (39th), Isabela Coffman (46th) and Charly Murie (47th).

Three other Trailblazers competed in Kinley Spaulding (53rd), Erin McKinnon (60th) and Addie Payne (70th).

Utah Valley won the team title scoring 15 points taking the top five spots in the field followed by California Baptist (63), Southern Utah (97), Seattle U (102) and Utah Tech (180).

UT Arlington (182), Abilene Christian (189), Grand Canyon (190) and Tarleton State (216) rounded out the field.

On the men's side, sophomore Ryan Hatch was the Trailblazers' top finisher coming in 17th to earn Second-Team All-WAC honors posting the third-fastest 8K in program history with a time of 24:08.30.

Sophomore Kyle Neuenschwander checked in 30th clocking the eighth-fastest 8K in program history with a time of 24:49.58.

Aiden Hardy (43rd), Dawson Leffler (47th) and Noah Orton (48th) rounded out the scorers followed by Collin Manning (61st), Trent Holiday (62nd) and Dennis Speaks (68th).

California Baptist won the men's team title scoring 29 points followed by Southern Utah (38), Utah Valley (67), Tarleton State (151), Abilene Christian (156), UT Arlington (167), Utah Tech (168), Grand Canyon (191) and Seattle U (273).

The Blazers are back in action at the NCAA West Regional Championships in Colfax, Wash. hosted at the Colfax Golf Club on Nov. 15.
