After nearly a four-year hiatus, Utah Tech University Athletics is seeking nominations for candidates for induction into the program's Hall of Fame in 2025. The nomination period will remain open through Sunday, Nov. 10.
The 2025 Utah Tech Athletics Hall of Fame induction will take place the weekend of February 28-March 1, which will include a special introduction during halftime of the Utah Tech men's basketball home game vs. California Baptist.
Former student-athletes become eligible for induction consideration five full years after their last season of collegiate competition and should have earned NCAA/NJCAA All-America, all-region or all-conference honors, among other national, conference and Utah Tech (and formerly Dixie State) program criteria. In addition, potential nominees should be of good character and reputation, and have exhibited community involvement and citizenship.
Coaches and administrators become eligible five years after their coaching careers after leaving employment at Utah Tech, with additional consideration will be given for continued contributions to society through community activities, performance in chosen fields which bring credit and distinction to Utah Tech University.
Additionally, specific varsity teams may be considered 10 years after winning a conference or national championship.Utah Tech Athletics will also accept nominations for dedicated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the athletic program.
Established in 2007, the Utah Tech (and formerly Dixie State) Athletics Hall of Fame currently features 42 individual inductees, including coaches, student-athletes, administrators, staff and volunteers. In addition, four championship-winning teams have also been enshrined.
While nominations are accepted year-round, they must be submitted by September 1, 2020, for consideration for the 2025 class. Please visit utahtechtrailblazers.com for more information and to submit an online nomination form.
