Utah Tech University Athletics announced on Thursday that through its partnership with Peak Sports MGMT, the department has surpassed the $1 million mark in corporate sponsorship sales.
"We continue to be amazed at the support that the Trailblazers receive in St. George and beyond," said Ryan Holloway, President of Peak Sports MGMT. "Reaching this milestone proves that Utah Tech's brand is strong and the community is literally buying into the vision and future of the institution.
Â
"We can't thank the sponsors enough and the visionary leadership laid out by Athletic Director Ken Beazer," Holloway added. "We are only getting started!"
Utah Tech Athletics and Peak Sports entered into a 10-year partnership in January of 2020, to enhance the Trailblazer Athletic marketing brand through Trailblazer Sports Properties. The agreement between Utah Tech and Peak Sports, provides Trailblazer Athletics with a significant financial guarantee each year and a revenue sharing amount distributed once the thresholds are met.
Currently, Peak Sports manages and sells all sponsorship inventory for Trailblazer Sports Properties, including broadcasting rights, venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, game sponsorships and special events, along with several other opportunities.
"The million dollar milestone is a credit to so many, from the incredible student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff to the St. George community," said Trailblazer Sports Properties general manager Sam Bytheway. "It continues to reflect the value Utah Tech brings to the community and the value the community brings to Utah Tech. I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of the immense growth here within Utah Tech Athletics, a growth that continues to show no signs of slowing down."
