'Tis the "Season of Giving," and Utah Tech Athletics is teaming up with Findlay Hyundai to host the first-ever "Fill the Pantry" food drive this Wed

nesday, November 29, at the Holland northeast parking lot from 7 a.m.-to-6 p.m.
All members of the Utah Tech campus, and St. George and Washington County communities are invited to participate by donating canned and non-perishable food items, toiletries and other personal hygiene items, to fill the shelves of the University's Blazer Food Pantry.
Trailblazer student-athletes, coaches and athletic administrators, along with other campus, community and Findlay Hyundai representatives, will all volunteer throughout the day to collect donated items.
In addition, Utah Tech will be hosting its sixth-annual holiday Trailblazer Nation Tree Lighting Celebration at the Holland Centennial Plaza on Wednesday evening at beginning at 5 p.m. Donations for the food drive will also be accepted during that event.
The Blazer Food Pantry, in partnership with the Utah Food Bank, was created to help decrease student food insecurity, all while increasing healthy eating choices and improving student retention efforts. The pantry is open to all Utah Tech University students, faculty and staff to provide assistance in meeting their basic nutritional needs.
Over the last six months, the Blazer Pantry has distributed more than 11,200 pounds of food to members of the university's campus community in need.
