The Trailblazers had the Redhawks  on the ropes Saturday afternoon but couldn't pull out a victory and fell 2-1 after nine innings. 

How it happened: The first two innings went scoreless for both teams. In the bottom of the third, Seattle put one run on the board to take a 1-0 lead after three complete innings. Dixie State answered by putting up one run. Oaklee Trapp drilled one back at the pitcher for a single. Kasey Crawford then doubled for an RBI to tie the game up at 1-1 after four innings. 

The next three innings went scoreless for both teams sending the game into extra innings. The Redhawks came up with a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to end the game and claim the victory. 

At the plate: HannahHughbanks led the Blazers going 4-5 at the plate. In total, Dixie had nine hits, one run and one RBI. DSU drew three walks and had nine strikeouts. 

In the field: The Trailblazers ended the game with 24 putouts and five assists.Hughbanks led with seven putouts. 

In the circle: Ashtyn Bauerle pitched the complete game totaling 8.0 innings. She gave up six hits, two runs and one walk. She had three strikeouts in the 33 batters faced.  

Notes to Know: Dixie State is now 18-27 overall on the season and concludes WAC action with a 6-12 record.
