The Dixie State women's tennis team dropped their match Thursday afternoon, falling 7-0 to Utah.
Utah (7-8) started the afternoon off strong by sweeping the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
Juliana Honczaruk and
Rachel Mellor came closest to a win, playing to a 2-6 loss in No. 3 doubles. The Utes kept their play up heading into singles by quickly claiming three points from the Trailblazers, this would clinch the match for the Pac-12 opponent.
The highlight of the day came from
Kyra Harames in No. 1 singles. The Senior jumped out to a 4-3 lead to start her first set of play but fell short, dropping the set 6-4. She then came back in dominating fashion, playing to a 6-1 win in the second set of play. Harames ended up falling to the Utes No. 1 player, losing 5-7 in the third set. This would end the day for the Trailblazers.
