Dixie State falls 7-1 to Montana

Dixie State took on the second day of the Classic action against the University of Montana and fell with a 7-1 score.

How it happened: Montana got on the board first with a run in the first inning. A three run shot in the top of the third by the Griz gave UM a 4-0 lead going into the third inning.

Dixie State got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning. Meagan Anders started things off with a single to center field. Madisen Duryea sent a ball flying into right field which was dropped to put runners on the corners. Malory Eldredge hit one hard at the shortstop and it wasn't fielded cleanly scoring Anders and advancing Duryea.  The next two DSU batters couldn't push anymore runs across and the sixth inning closed.

The Blazers couldn't  spark any more offense in the seventh inning and fell with a final score of 7-1.
