Dixie State University Athletics announced on Wednesday a new partnership with Peak Sports MGMT to oversee multimedia rights and enhance the Trailblazer Athletic marketing brand.
"We are thrilled to partner with Peak Sports as we begin to expand and elevate Trailblazer Athletics," said DSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Dr. Jason Boothe. "Our upcoming move to NCAA Division-I is exciting, but it comes with significantly larger revenue generation requirements. This partnership will allow us to meet those requirements, while providing excellent service to our corporate sponsors and partners."
Peak Sports will manage and sell all sponsorship inventory for Dixie State Athletics, including broadcasting rights, venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, game sponsorships and special events, along with several other opportunities.
"What Peak Sports offers is a tailored, relationship centric approach to sponsorship," Ryan Holloway, President of Peak Sports MGMT said. "After visiting the campus, Dixie State faculty and staff and the city of St. George, Dixie State University is going to be a great place to be embedded into!
"We are looking forward to building the revenue and relationships between the community and the University," Holloway added. "Dr. [Jason] Boothe has the department positioned for immediate success as they enter [NCAA] D-I athletics. It is a great time to be a Trailblazer!"
The agreement between Dixie State and Peak Sports, which is for ten years, provides Dixie State Athletics with a significant financial guarantee each year and a revenue sharing amount distributed once the thresholds are met.
Peak Sports and DSU Athletics have tabbed
Heath Schatz as general manager of the newly created Trailblazer Sports Properties. Schatz, along with account executive
Andrew Lee, will serve as full-time staff members at Dixie State who will fully integrate themselves with the university, athletic department and the St. George community and beyond.
