Both Dixie State cross country teams finished in fifth place at the BYU Autumn Classic on Saturday. The event was held on the Utah State cross country course in Logan, Utah, due to poor air quality in and around Provo.

Freshman Milton Amezcua (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley HS) crossed the line in 59th place with a time of 23:19.8, while fellow freshman Kevin Kirk (Yerington, Nev./Yerington HS) finished in 64th place with a time of 23:45.6.

The women's team finished the 5K race in a fifth-place tie with Westminster, as both teams finished with a score of 142.
