The Dixie State men's soccer team earned its first road win of the season Saturday with a 1-0 victory over NAIA opponent Biola University.
Both teams came out firing in the first half as Biola recorded eight shots in the opening stanza, while Dixie State (2-1) fired five shots of its own. However, the game remained scoreless most of the first half, until junior defender

th minute off a corner kick from senior midfielder
Santiago Alejandro (Oakley, Calif./Alhambra HS) to give the Red Storm a 1-0 lead.
Biola would counter with three chances to score before halftime, but saw each opportunity sail either high or wide.
The Eagles continued to press forward in the second half in search of an equalizer, attempting 16 shots in the period. However, Red Storm junior goalkeeper
Bradley Trella (Chandler, Ariz./Chandler HS) turned away shot after shot, recording four of a total six saves in the second half, including one in the last 30 seconds of the game to preserve the shutout victory.
The Storm finished the game with just six shots, two of which were on goal, while Biola racked up 24 shots with six on goal.
