The Dixie State women's basketball team dropped its season opener Friday, falling 122-52 on the road to Alaska Anchorage.
The Seawolves jumped to a 9-0 lead in the first five minutes of the first quarter before the Storm responded with a 5-0 run of its own to trim the lead to 9-5. Sophomore center

Tramina Jordan (Las Vegas, Nev./Centennial) nailed a trey to pull DSU to within four points with 5:51 remaining in the opening stanza, but the Storm would get no closer. UAA outscored Dixie State 51-23 through the remainder of the first half, and 62-24 in the second half to secure the victory.
