Dixie State posted its third-straight 1-0 result in Pacific West Conference play as the Storm shut out Holy Names Sunday afternoon in Oakland, Calif. DSU remains unbeaten in conference play at 3-0-1, 5-1-1 overall, while the Hawks drop to 2-7-0/1-3-0 in league action.
Dixie State scored the lone goal of the match in the 70
th-minute when junior
Kris Evans (Draper, Utah/Alta HS) fed an entry pass to senior
Alex Galvan (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan HS), who sent a shot low and into the net to give DSU a 1-0 lead. The Storm defense was tested throughout the match as HNU attempted 20 total shots, seven on frame. However junior goalkeeper
Bradley Trella (Chandler, Ariz./Chandler HS) was up to the task in making six saves, while the DSU defense stepped up for another stop, to preserve the shutout win. For Trella, it was his fourth shutout victory in goal this season.
"The boys grinded out a good win today. We were poor with the ball in the first half but we defended well," Head Coach
Josh Pittman said. "The secod half we connected a lot more passes, evened out the game and got the goal we needed. Brad [Trella] and the back four played great and everyone played better in the second half."

Santiago Alejandro (Oakley, Calif./Alhambra HS), junior
Ethan Vandenbosch (Ogden, Utah/Bonneville HS) and sophomore
