Men's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at NDNU Thursday

First Place Storm remains unbeaten in PacWest play; extends defensive ShO streak to 610+ minutes

Dixie State remained unbeaten in the Pacific West Conference standings after playing to a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Notre Dame de Namur Thursday afternoon in Belmont, Calif. The draw extended DSU's school-record defensive shutout streak to 610:50 as the Storm (7-1-2/5-0-2 PacWest) posted its sixth-consecutive shutout result overall.

Dixie State was outshot in the match 16-3, including a 5-0 count on goal. Junior goalkeeper Bradley Trella (Chandler, Ariz./Chandler HS) played 110 minutes and stopped all five Argonaut shots on frame. Seniors Santiago Alejandro (Oakley, Calif./Alhambra HS) and Alex Galvan (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan HS) and junior Bernard Manuel (Ghana, West Africa/Elko (NV) HS) accounted for the three Storm shot attempts.

"It was a tough game today," Head Coach Josh Pittman said. "Notre Dame really came at us and put a lot of pressure on us. We defended well again and Brad [Trella] came up with the save of the season in the first couple minutes."

Dixie State will close out the Bay Area portion of its current four-match road swing this Saturday at Academy of Art at 2:30 p.m. (PT), in San Francisco.
