Looking in on the Golden Eagles, Coyotes: Cal State L.A. began their season on the Big Island with two wins: 2-0 against UH Hilo and 2-1 over BYUH in a neutral site match. Senior midfielder Shea Richards with two goals leads the Golden Eagles. CSULA has outshot its competition, 27-5. CSUSB is also 2-0 and nationally ranked (19th). They took out ART U, 2-0 and routed Dominican, 5-1.
Storming the PacWest: Dixie State tallied 114 votes in the PacWest preseason poll to sit in the fifth spot. Senior
Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) earned a spot on the All-PacWest Preseason Team for the third consecutive year.
Year two: Kacey Bingham is in her second season as head coach. Prior to DSU, she led Paradise Valley (Ariz.) Community College to the NJCAA National Championship in 2012.
