Â
"It was a great result," Dixie State head coach

Â
Freshman forward
Darian McCloy (Herriman, UT/Herriman) scored the first goal in the 15
th minute when she took a rebounded effort 10 yards away and slotted it inside the left post. It was her third goal of the year thanks to the assist from
Aubri Detmer (Austin, TX/Lake Travis).
Â
Alexis Torres (Tucson, AZ/Palo Verde) then used a bit of good luck for her first collegiate goal at DSU. Just shy of halftime, the ball bounced off of the referee and to
Aarika Andersen (Bountiful, UT/Woods Cross). Her pass to Torres in close resulted in a goal from five yards out and a 2-0 lead.
Â
PacWest goal leader
Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) got into the act in 82
nd minute with her 11
th goal of the season. A beautiful right-side cross from
Jasmine Arollo (Glendale, AZ/Apollo) on the break left Mason open for a sliding kick inside the box.
Â
Freshmen goalkeepers
Danica Nusink (Springville, UT/Springville) and
Angie Ciucci (Stockholm, Sweden/Thorildsplans Gymnasium) combined for the shutout. Nusink made a great diving stop on an Urban Knight shot in the 26
